Blue

Today, the sky in Cambridge is Grey. It was mostly warm and sunny for the past two weeks but it returns to gloomy sky, rainy and chilly day again. Anyway, even though there was ray of sunshine outside the lab, most faces in the lab were frown, I was one of them, unfortunately.

Experiments failed, stressed and demotivated. The worst part is the people issue.

Equipment didn't work properly, not able to reproduce the samples, tears dropped.

Reading the news about the 7.9 earthquake in China, especially the tragedy of the school children left me in heartache.

In kendo session, always feel the frustration at not being able to cope.

OYL has been a bit blue recently and he influnces me, I'm rather blue too on the leaving of our good buddies from KL in pursuit of their better career opportunity.
.....

Cheers! Great to see the smiley and pretty faces of Azlin, Intan, Ina, Zetty and Jehan (from the left). A walk in Robinson's lake after our BBQ last Saturday when Cambridge was still sunny.
This is what people used to do on a sunny afternoon in Cambridge.
They just simply look good and smell good too

Chocolates

This May 1st Labour Day (it's French holiday but not for the UK), I received 2 "precious" chocolates. One is from Chwee Chin, an old mate of ChemEng UPM. She is temporarily working in Lyon, France for 3 months. She brought me two bars of chocolates and one bottle of red wine during her visit to Cambridge. The red wine is to cheer her as my first guest in Cambridge from M'sia. Yeah! Another one bag of dark chocolate is from Quan in Phoenix. Quan, my boss in US during my 2001 training attachment in ASEAZ, asked my buddy to bring the chocolate back for me when they met up in Phoenix after my buddy's conference. Looking at the chocolates, the longing for home erupts all over......

Outdoor noon service of St. John Chapel specially arranged on May 1.
